Sylly ("the App") is an iOS app that helps students scan college syllabi, extract assignment due dates, and add them to their calendar. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data the App accesses and how it is used.
The App may request access to the following on your device:
All permissions are optional. The App will ask for your consent before accessing any of these.
When you scan a syllabus, the extracted text is sent to the Anthropic Claude API for processing. This is used solely to identify course names, assignment titles, and due dates from your syllabus text. No images are sent — only the extracted text.
Anthropic's privacy policy can be found at anthropic.com/privacy.
All course and assignment data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to export assignments to your calendar.
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since no personal data is collected from any user, the App is safe for use by students of all ages.
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
